The burden is not getting any lighter

Understandably, the focus should be on new products or services, this necessary evil called “documentation and conformity” fights against deadline and cost pressure in everyday life. And there, the implementation of “unproductive” rules and regulations is naturally unwelcome.

Seize the opportunities now

However, many of our customers have recognized the opportunity to lay the foundation for a new foundation. A little more is invested to cut off one or the other braid of the past and to look into the future. Fortunately, the need is no longer driven only by a specialist department, but has already reached the management. This prevents isolated solutions and provides the necessary decision-making power.

In addition to the possibilities of a process revision that consolidates the requirements of many sets of rules, these changes nevertheless bring a central task to light: When creating and directing numerous documents in complex document structures and programs or databases that are to be accessible in different compilations – depending on who is “searching” at the time – a corresponding data set is expected: the auditor, the developer, the QM department, the approval department in search of the DHF, the DMR, a STED or quality-relevant records. High-tech, in other words. And to be on the safe side, everything is then archived in paper – in the worst case, multiple times.

And what do document management systems do?

This question is about as precise as asking how much a car costs. Current systems bring everyone involved to the same table, reduce errors, and create transparency. Classic to-do lists give way to modern cockpits with all kinds of evaluation options, provide a certain degree of security of one’s own added value by means of access restrictions, enable digital document workflows including approvals and signatures, facilitate searches and take work off your hands: automatic creation of neutral exchange formats – drawings in PDF format, guided document versioning, document storage and the compilations you are looking for.

Individual requirements need individual solutions.
