Expert initiative of Med Alliance BW supports medical technology companies in the implementation of a wide range of challenges within the industry

A lot is happening in medical technology. This is not only due to the increasing digitalisation in the healthcare sector, but also to the growing regulatory requirements in the industry. With the Med Alliance BW, the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Housing Baden-Württemberg has therefore launched a state-wide expert initiative – LEXI for short. This panel of experts also includes seleon GmbH.

Solutions for common problems

The idea behind the Med Alliance BW is that the participating companies can exchange ideas on an equal footing, identify common issues in regulations, standards or laws and work out solutions together. The aim is always to pass on the results of these dialogues to the other passive companies in the sector in order to further advance the medical technology industry in Baden-Württemberg.

The central body of Med Alliance BW is the state-wide expert initiative (LEXI), which brings together specialists from the actively involved medical technology companies who belong to one or more working groups. They, in turn, form the operative units for the respective main topics and prepare the publications.

As one of the leading, internationally active service providers and manufacturers in medical technology, seleon GmbH is also one of the Proven Experts. Through active participation in the LEXI working groups, seleon supports medical technology in Baden-Württemberg and beyond with its regulatory and clinical know-how.

First symposium planned

After the Med Alliance BW was launched at the beginning of 2021, more than ten working groups have already formed and worked through a range of topics. These will now be presented at the first hybrid symposium in 2022 in Tuttlingen and online.

At this symposium, the working groups will present their publications and thus provide passive companies with a lot of exciting information. If you would like to learn more about the Med Alliance BW, visit
